Lucky Mr. Peters

Chapter 26

When we woke up on Thursday morning I told Allejandro to go to the bathroom first. As soon as I got up though, I started feeling nauseous, followed by a painful sting to my left shoulder. When the pain started to spread to my left arm, I knew I was in serious trouble. I called for Allejandro as I walked to where I had left my trousers the previous night. I got out the nitro spray from my trouser pocket and sprayed it underneath my tongue as Allejandro came back into the bedroom.

“Call 112, tell them to send an ambulance, I’m pretty sure I’m having a heart attack,” I told him.

Allejandro hurried to get his cell phone and started dialing, while I stumbled back to the bed and lay down on it. He spoke in his rapid Spanish to the person on the other side of the line, then handed me his phone.

“Are you sure you’re having a heart attack?” the person at the other end asked me.

“Yes, I’ve had two heart attacks before and I recognize the symptoms,” I answered.

A few more questions and answers followed as Allejandro stood in our bedroom door, calling for the other boys. They had probably gotten up early as they were in our bedroom all fully dressed within almost no time.

I couldn’t follow the conversation between them, but I could see Fernando hurrying out while Carlos ran towards me and lay down beside me, hugging me fiercely. I told him everything would be ok as I saw huge tears appearing in his eyes. The other boys just stood around, all looking quite pale.

A few minutes later, Pietro and Mauricio walked in too, both appearing worried. I asked them to get me up, so I could at least get on some underwear and a pair of pants. We managed, with little difficulty, then they brought me downstairs using the elevator. Even Carlos managed to squeeze in as he refused to let go of me.

I was laying on the couch when the two paramedics from the ambulance were brought in by Fernando. They quickly hooked me up to a portable ECG machine to check me out. I knew that going to the hospital was inevitable, one of my veins was at least partially blocked and it needed to be cleared.

When the paramedics announced it was time to take me to hospital, Allejandro was adamant that he would ride with us in the ambulance. I told Pietro and Mauricio to make sure the boys got some breakfast first, as I knew they would be following after us. Once I was put on the gurney, the boys all stood around as I was rolled out to the ambulance. Their faces exuded sadness and fear, even though I kept smiling at them as reassuringly as I could.

In the ambulance, on the way to hospital, I was hooked up to an IV. I noticed Allejandro looking away when the needle was stuck in a vein in my hand.

“It doesn’t hurt, it’s just a bit uncomfortable,” I told him.

“I just don’t like needles,” he replied, barely looking while the paramedic put tapes on, to keep everything in place.

Since it was still early and there wasn’t much traffic, we quickly arrived at the hospital. I was rolled into the ER, where a doctor was already waiting for us. He asked me a few questions, mostly about my medication, before announcing they were going to perform an angioplasty. I asked him to give me a few minutes as I’d seen the fear rise in Allejandro’s face.

“Don’t worry, this should take about an hour and then they’ll bring me to the cardiac ICU. You just go and find yourself some food and let Mauricio and Pietro know where we are,” I told him.

He just hugged me and I could feel his warm tears on my shoulder.

“I promise you I’ll be ok. I have way too much to live for now to just give up,” I whispered.

He let go of me and then two nurses started wheeling the bed towards the operating room. Once there I was transferred to the operating table and they immediately started the procedure. Having been through catheterization a few times before, I knew the drill. The only thing I would never get used to, was the cold in the operating room. Within just a few minutes I was shivering, just from the cold.

As I had expected, it didn’t take long for the procedure to be wrapped up. I was put back into the bed and brought to a small recovery room. A few minutes later, the surgeon came in and told me it had been a mild blockage. He’d put in a stent nevertheless, just to make sure the artery would stay open.

“So, if everything goes well, I should be able to go home tomorrow afternoon, right?” I asked him.

“I’m sorry, but that will be up to the cardiologist,” he said.

“Oh, well, I’ll just have to drive him nuts then, so he’ll be happy to get rid of me,” I joked.

“A nurse will be in soon to transfer you to the cardiac ICU,” the surgeon declared, before leaving the room, shaking his head and muttering to himself.

I was, indeed, brought to the cardiac ICU a few minutes later. There, they hooked me up to a heart monitor as well as to a machine that would regularly check my blood pressure. No sooner had the nurses left when Allejandro burst into the room. He immediately came over to hug me, causing my heart rate to slightly elevate.

“Don’t you ever scare me like that again,” he whimpered, sounding exasperated.

I had just started telling him I’d be ok, when the rest of my boys came stampeding into the room. They were followed by a nurse who, in vain, tried to tell them they couldn’t all be in the room at once. She didn’t stand a chance as they all gathered around the bed, ignoring her.

I started my reassurance speech again and I think I did a pretty good job. When I told them I did want them to go through with their visit to the Caminito, I saw a few nodding heads.

“They can go, but you’re a fool if you think I’m going to leave you alone for even a single second,” Allejandro whispered into my ear.

I just smiled and patted his hand that was closest to me. When I told the boys I expected to be back home by the following afternoon, they cheered. Within minutes, my regular cardiologist walked into the room. He made a comment in Spanish, that probably meant he wanted to talk to me alone, as all but Allejandro started to vacate the room. My young boyfriend made his own remarks and I could see surprise register on doctor Chavez’s face.

“It looks like your fiancé wants to know what I’ve got to say,” doctor Chavez revealed.

“I’m sure he does, so just tell us I can go back home tomorrow afternoon,” I replied, grinning.

“If nothing out of the ordinary happens, I’ll send you packing tomorrow. However, I am concerned about what brought on this attack. Your bloodwork shows that your cholesterol levels are quite normal,” the doctor mentioned.

“Could some form of stress be a contributing factor?” Allejandro butted in.

“Yes, if it’s severe enough, it could be. Stress related heart attacks are rare, but they do happen. Do you have something in mind?” doctor Chavez inquired.

“Well, I think he’s been having too much sex lately and worrying about how I might feel about that,” Allejandro explained.

The heart monitor was showing a steady increase, going from 85 to 115 in almost no time.

“I know you’re fine with it,” I countered, but the machine was belying me.

“How long does he have to stay laying down flat like this?” Allejandro asked the doctor.

“Normally between 8 and 12 hours, close to the latter in this case, I think,” the doctor replied.

It did take nearly 12 hours, but then I was able to get up and move around. Allejandro didn’t leave my side for any stretch of time, except bathroom breaks and getting himself fed. Going against hospital policy, he even slept in the chair, next to me, just holding my hand.

When doctor Chavez walked into the room on Friday morning, he was smiling. A small group of interns came in after him and he was talking to them in Spanish. I noticed Allejandro was smiling broadly at what the good doctor was telling his interns. My puzzled look caused Allejandro to bend over to me.

“He’s telling them about troublesome patients that want to leave the hospital as soon as possible. They need to learn how to handle such patients,” Allejandro explained.

At that moment, doctor Chavez turned and asked me if I still wanted to go home. As I affirmed I did, I noticed some of the interns smiling and looking at the doctor to see his reaction.

“Ok, if you keep doing well, I’ll release you around 2 o’clock this afternoon. Would that be acceptable to you?” the doctor asked.

I gave him a big smile and told him I’d be more than happy to wait until the afternoon. With that, the doctor and his interns left the room again.

“How will we get home? I don’t think the others will be back from the ‘Caminito’ until late in the afternoon,” Allejandro asked.

“I’m pretty sure we’ll be able to afford a taxi. It’ll be a nice surprise for the other boys to see me back home when they walk in,” I stated, smiling.

As I had expected, a little past 2, Allejandro and I walked out of the hospital. We easily managed to get a taxi and were back home some 15 minutes later. Allejandro made it quite clear that I was to take it easy and he wasn’t taking no for an answer. Of course, I had no other option than to give in. I sat down on the couch in the living room while Allejandro got us some drinks.

We were still relaxing on the couch when, around half past four, the other boys came walking into the house. I could hear them talking and laughing, a clear indication that they’d had a good time. As soon as they saw us though, they all flocked around the couch, Carlos claiming a spot on my lap.

“I think you guys had better get changed, unless you all want to start sweating bullets,” I announced, noticing they were all still clothed in their warm gear.

Smiling broadly, they trooped out again to put on more appropriate attire. I got a hug from Pietro and Mauricio before they, too, left for their home to get changed. I suggested to Allejandro we should just get some pizzas delivered to feed the horde. He agreed and got on his cell phone to put in the order.

Of course, Carlos was the first one to get back down since he only sparingly clothed. He immediately reclaimed his place and it felt good to feel him close to me. After kissing the top of his head, I asked how he had liked the trip to the ‘Caminito’. That brought about a flood of words that was still flowing as the other boys also rejoined us. They quickly entered into the conversation, causing a veritable cacophony of sounds and words.

Shortly though, their rumbling stomachs took priority. A small cheer erupted when I informed them of our dinner plans. For some odd reason, I continuously held on to Carlos, softly rubbing his belly, chest and thighs. I loved Allejandro, but feeling Carlos close meant I was really home. Of course, his squirming little butt got me hard and he regularly turned his head to flash a knowing smile at me.

When the pizzas arrived, we all went into the dining room and ate our fill. Afterwards, the boys decided they could leave me alone and went down to the game room. Only Allejandro stayed, hovering over me like a mother hen.

At around 8 o’clock, we decided to go down to the theater room to watch a movie. We were soon joined by the rest of the gang, enjoying some absurd comedy. After the movie was over, the boys all retreated to their bedrooms as they were pretty much beat. As per usual, it left Allejandro and me to enjoy a glass of wine together. Allejandro put the glasses in the dishwasher when we were done, then we went up the stairs to our bedroom.

As soon as the door closed behind me, I spun Allejandro around and kissed him. He was a bit surprised, but quickly reciprocated.

“Don’t you think you should be taking it easy?” he asked, after catching his breath.

“Maybe, but I’m not used to not having sex at least once a day anymore. I had a hard enough time restraining myself this afternoon, when Carlos was squirming on my lap,” I quipped.

Allejandro smiled and both of us hurriedly started to undress. Allejandro finished first, taking up his usual position, lying on his back, his knees held closely to his chest. I wasted little time and was soon entering his skinny ass. We made love frantically and all too soon I could see Allejandro’s balls pull up. Seeing him shoot his load pushed me over the edge and in turn, I began filling his bowels.

After that, I collapsed next to him. I think I fell asleep almost immediately as I don’t even remember Allejandro making his trip to the bathroom.

Saturday morning, I woke up early, Allejandro lying next to me, still sound asleep. I carefully got out of bed and made a quick trip to the bathroom to relieve myself. When I crawled back into bed, Allejandro still lay there, looking almost angelic. From the way the comforter covered him, it was clear he was suffering from ‘morning wood’.

I scooted underneath the covers and soon found my prize. I had only just begun to bob my head up and down his shaft, when I felt Allejandro beginning to stir. Soon I had him moaning while his hands ruffled through my hair. I took time out to rapidly wet two fingers, before continuing my ministrations. The two fingers meanwhile found their way inside of him to massage his prostate. Allejandro began to wildly buck his hips and before long I felt his first spurt of cum hit the back of my mouth. It was followed by a few more, which I gladly swallowed.

After Allejandro was completely spent, I crawled up to lie on top of him. He was smiling from ear to ear, but his eyes were still clearly unfocused.

“Did you sleep well?” I queried, whispering in his ear.

He just nodded, then whispered back, “Waking up was even better.”

We just hugged for a while, then Allejandro announced he had to pee. We both got up and started our morning routine. When we got downstairs, I was surprised to find Pietro and Mauricio in the kitchen, working on breakfast.

“I don’t remember this being part of your job description,” I started.

“We’ve been doing this for the past two days, it’s turning into a habit,” Mauricio replied.

“Besides, you’ll still need to take it easy for a while,” Pietro added.

I laughed and told him, he was the second one to tell me that. Then Allejandro budged in and told them he thought I was getting hard of hearing.

“Oh, stop it, you three! It was just a minor attack, it doesn’t make me a bloody invalid,” I exclaimed.

It didn’t resort to anything. Mauricio and Pietro kept on going while Allejandro guided me to the table, telling me he’d get me a cup of coffee. I felt like a lone human, surrounded by a bunch of Borg; resistance was futile.

As I was enjoying my cup of coffee, the rest of the boys slowly came trickling down and into the living room. I got my hugs and kisses from all of them as they joined me at the breakfast table. It felt good to be home with my boys again. I knew I had given them a scare and it would take some time for things to go back to normal.

After breakfast, I decided it would be a good time to pick up my Spanish lessons again. Allejandro and Carlos decided to join me, since they had been the ones promising to teach me. The other four just wandered off to do their own thing.

I didn’t think we’d been busy that long, when Pietro walked into the study and announced that lunch was ready. I was surprised to see it was close to 1 o’clock. I shut down the computer and we found lunch and the other boys ready at the breakfast table.

After eating, all the boys, except Allejandro, went down to the game room. My fiancée wanted to keep an eye on me and help me with my pronunciation. We were still practicing, when quite unexpectedly, the doorbell rang.

When I got to the front door, Allejandro had already opened the double door in our surrounding walls. Much to my surprise, Julia was storming towards me. Once inside, she demanded to know where her little brother was.

“He’s in the game room, but why do you want to know?” I asked her, a bit perplexed.

“Because I’m going to pull down his shorts and underwear and spank his bare bottom,” Julia breezed. And with that, she made her way to the stairs leading down.

Then I noticed Ronaldo also walking towards the house at a much more sedate pace, Allejandro following behind. Not knowing what was going on, I waited until they were both also inside the house.

Ronaldo put down two, obviously heavy bags in the hallway, still shaking his head.

When I asked him what was going on, he explained that Rafael had called them Thursday evening and told them about my predicament. Since he hadn’t called them since, they thought I’d still be there when they went in there today, just after lunch. Finding a stranger in the room I was supposed to be in had led Julia to go into panic mode. When one of the nurses had informed them I’d already been discharged the previous day, this turned into an anger mode. Just then, a very pale looking Rafael sped past us and up the stairs, closely followed by Julia.

Ronaldo calmly stepped in and grabbed his wife by the waist, preventing her from following after.
