Lucky Mr. Peters

Chapter 49

It was just a little past 10 when I got back home and I definitely needed another cup of coffee. As I walked into the kitchen, I found Pietro hard at work glazing the cake for John and it was clear he was loving it. When he started putting on a second layer, I asked him why he was doing that.

“I can’t make up my mind between dark chocolate, strawberry or white chocolate, so I’m going to put all three on,” he smiled.

I shook my head and took my cup of coffee with me into the living room for some peace and quiet. I just thought about everything that had happened over the past week and a half and how fast it had all gone. The sudden demise of Hugo’s parents had affected all of us and had set a whole new set of events in motion. As I sat there with my coffee, Mauricio came up to me and told me that in my absence a new Piaggio had been delivered, then handed me the keys.

“I’ve had it put at the side of the house and covered it with a tarp as I assume it’s John’s birthday present,” he smiled.

As Mauricio made the remark, I thought it was actually an excellent idea that I simply hadn’t thought about. I’d gone along with Allejandro’s suggestion to get him the latest I-Phone, but the Piaggio would make for a nice bonus. It would be a pity to let it sit in the garage unused and would show to John that he was really a part of the family. I quickly got out my cell phone and typed an IM to Allejandro, telling him about the change of plans. I got a simple ‘thumbs-up’ icon back, letting me know he got the message.

Just then Russel came up from the game room and sat down next to me sighing. When I asked him what was up, he told me that playing games on his own was getting to be rather boring.

“You know what? Why don’t you help me with my Spanish lessons and I can help improve your English at the same time. It’s all in English and Spanish and I’m pretty sure it can work both ways,” I suggested.

“Really?” Russel asked and I could see a huge smile appear on his face, showing his eagerness.

I told him I was sure and together we made for the study to see if we both could learn something. I actually had quite a lot of fun as Russel’s enthusiasm was rather catching and it was clear he wanted to give his utmost. After about two hours we had finished two lessons and I knew it wouldn’t be long before Carlos and Damarion would get home. I told Russel we’d better stop, but that we could continue either the next morning or Friday. He told me he was looking forward to it and I knew he meant it.

It was 12:15 when Pietro warned us that lunch was ready and I realized I’d forgotten to warn him about Carlos and Damarion getting home later. I apologized for not having warned him, but he waved it off and told me it wasn’t a problem as it was just soup and bread. He could easily heat up the soup in the microwave once the two boys came in and the bread would stay fresh as it was still packed. I did get myself a cup of tea and Russel had a glass of milk to tide us over for the half hour it would take before I expected Damarion and Carlos to get home.

When they did get in, they didn’t look at all happy.

“I thought you’d get us out of detention,” Carlos exclaimed as he stood in front of me, hands on his hips.

“I could have, but then everyone in school would have known about who spilled the beans and I thought the whole idea was to keep that a secret,” I replied as calmly as possible.

I could almost see the wheels in Carlos’ brain turning as he processed what I’d just said and then he started to smile.

“You let them keep us in detention on purpose, that’s brilliant,” he then laughed and moments later I had his arms around my neck as I got my usual hugs and kisses.

Damarion followed suit, though I was sure he didn’t exactly know why. I then told them to get changed, so we could have lunch and both boys quickly hurried up the stairs. When lunch was over about half an hour later, I could see Damarion taking Russel’s hand and taking him downstairs to the game room. Carlos in the meantime had taken my hand and, with a grin on his face, started leading me up the stairs. I’d gotten so used to Carlos taking Damarion along that the situation took me by surprise. After we entered Carlos and Damarion’s bedroom I could tell Carlos was excited as he was constantly rubbing his crotch.

“I want you to spank and fuck me, just like we used to do,” he said and the pitch of his voice told me he was serious.

I did as he’d asked and I think both of us genuinely enjoyed the one on one experience, just like before. As we descended the stairs afterwards, I couldn’t help but put my arm around his little shoulders and squeezing them a bit. It may sound silly, but the love that was there was almost palpable and I considered myself more than just a little lucky. As Carlos went on down to the game room, I made for the kitchen and a cup of tea. Waiting for the water to boil, Pietro asked me when and where he should present John’s birthday cake. I gave it some thought and knowing all the boys would be home by 3, I told him that 3:15 down in the game room would make for a good moment. He then gave me a peek at his handiwork and the cake looked absolutely great.

Just as I walked into the living room with my cup of tea, John also got in and I could tell he was nervous.

“Hey, birthday boy, did everything go well in school?” I asked as I put my cup of tea down on the coffee table.

“Well, at least I didn’t have to parade in front of my stepparents’ friends in some monkey suit,” he replied with a little sigh.

“In that case you might want to get out of that school uniform,” I laughed.

“I don’t mind the school uniform because all of my brothers are wearing it too,” he answered as he put his arms around me.

I hadn’t expected him call the other boys his ‘brothers’, but I kind of understood. Being an orphan and having the kind of stepparents he had had, he must have been yearning for anyone he could call family for a long time.

“It’s a big family, you’ve got now, isn’t it?” I smiled.

“Yes, it’s a bit overwhelming at times. I’ve been used to being an ‘only child’ for so long,” he replied.

“Believe me, I know what you mean. Just a year ago I was living on my own in a small apartment in Amsterdam, and look at me now,” I joked.

John gave me a little smile, which told me he was quite familiar with my story. As he sat down next to me, I knew he wanted to talk some more, and we did. Over the next 30 minutes or so, I learned more about John than I had in the previous weeks. It was clear he was still quite shy and was having a hard time with all of the attention he was getting today. I assured him it would all be over by the next day, which caused him to grin. He gave me another hug before getting up and telling me he’d be going upstairs to get changed.

After a few minutes I saw him coming down and continuing on to the game room to join his ‘brothers’. It was close to 3 o’clock when the rest of the gang arrived and came into the living room to give me my hugs and kisses. One by one, they then went up the stairs to change out of their uniforms before gathering in the game room. I knew they were all down there when I followed Pietro, carrying the cake, and Mauricio, carrying platters and forks, down to the room.

Pietro put the plate with the cake up on the bar, then asked John to come and cut the first slice for himself. As he did, I could see him looking around and getting slightly emotional, but he managed to get through it. Then the other boys lined up to also each receive a slice of cake on a platter before retaking their spots. Of course, after I’d gotten my slice, I insisted that Pietro and Mauricio each had one too, leaving just one slice, which I suggested we’d save for Aidan. I had to admit, the cake tasted excellent and judging from the speed at which the boys consumed their slices, I guess they agreed.

When we were all finished it was time for the presents to be handed out and again John got rather affected. Most of the boys had gotten him some game or other and then, finally, Allejandro handed him the box with the new iPhone. It looked like he was genuinely happy as both Allejandro and I got a warm hug from him.

“I guess you think that’s all of it, John, but I’ve got one more thing to give you,” I said and retrieving the keys from my trouser pocket, I then handed them to him. “It’s waiting for you at the side of the house, covered with a tarp,” I finished.

The look on John’s face was priceless as he stammered a bit, but then the twins, Rafael and Fernando insisted he come up with them and show it off to them. Then, between the four of them, John was rapidly ushered up the stairs, closely followed by Pietro and Mauricio, taking the empty platters, used forks and plate. With the other boys opting to stay in the game room, Allejandro and I then also made our way up and into the living room. It was already 4:30, and thinking we’d handled things pretty well, I suggested to Allejandro we should get ourselves a glass of wine each.

We had just settled down on the couch when a very emotional John came walking in, closely followed by the other four boys. Allejandro and I were again hugged by John as the other boys stood around.

“Will all of us be getting a Piaggio when we turn 16?” Felipe then asked, likely being chosen to be the designated speaker.

I told the assembled boys I hadn’t decided yet, but in the back of my mind I knew it was probably inevitable. I then asked the twins if they’d given their own birthday party some thought yet as it was in just 10 days. They informed me that they’d made wish lists already, but would also like to invite three boys from school. As it turned out, they were the same three boys I’d been introduced to and who’d helped out running interference against the paparazzi. Rafael, Fernando and John excused themselves and went down to the game room while Allejandro and I discussed birthday plans with the twins.

With their birthday being on a Saturday, they suggested we’d start around 10 o’clock, with the first cake and handing out presents. They could then play games, watch a movie or something and after lunch possibly have a swim. Around 3:30 they could then have the second cake, ending the party around 5 o’clock. I could understand their insistence on having two cakes, but I didn’t know if Pietro would be up for it, so I told them to talk it over with him. I also insisted on getting a call from the parents of the boys they wanted to invite, so I knew everything was on the up and up. Promising me they’d make sure of it, they then disappeared into the kitchen, looking for Pietro.

I don’t know what they’d discussed with him, but both boys seemed happy when they returned shortly after and made for the game room. They’d just left when Aidan came walking in and his face didn’t look at all happy.

“That asshole uncle of Hugo’s is going to try and contest the will,” he breezed, as he sat down on the couch.

“You told us he doesn’t stand a chance, so I can’t really see the problem,” I smiled and I saw Allejandro getting up to get Aidan a glass of wine and refill ours.

“He doesn’t, I simply hate it when someone’s making my work more difficult than it needs to be,” he replied brusquely, obviously still upset. “In addition, it means that all assets will have to be frozen until there’s a ruling,” Aidan snorted.

“Well, it’s not like we were going to use or need any of the money or anything,” I answered.

Aidan gave me a bit of an exasperated look and then apologized. He told me he thought he’d made it clear to Hugo’s uncle’s lawyer that contesting the will would be useless. When they had spoken that morning, though, the lawyer had told him that Hugo’s uncle had insisted and had left him no choice. Aidan had then insisted that any documents sent to him would be certified translations into Spanish, knowing full well it would run up the bill for Hugo’s uncle. He couldn’t fault his colleague for abiding by his clients wishes, but he thought he’d gotten the message as he’d said he would inform Hugo’s uncle about the cost of getting certified translations made.

“You’re a devious man, Mr. Gonzalez, and I’m glad you’re on our side,” I laughed.

Allejandro had returned and as he sat down, Aidan told him that unlike Hugo’s bad news, he’d gotten some good news with regards to his case. My ears perked up and obviously Allejandro was also curious about the news. He told us that the judge had decided there was enough evidence to forego an official hearing of Allejandro’s parents. It would still take about two to three weeks before the termination of parental rights and obligations would be publicized and from that moment on, Allejandro would be considered ‘of legal age’.

“Yes! We’re getting married in May,” Allejandro then immediately stated and I could see his eyes getting a bit glassy.

Mere moments later we were just holding each other and I think I whispered in his ear that I loved him. Then Aidan ruined the moment by reminding us we weren’t alone and we should maybe find ourselves a room. Of course, we laughed it off and got back to sipping our wine and talking about how John’s birthday had been. I told Aidan we’d saved him a slice of cake and he said he was looking forward to having a taste of it as desert. Soon after, Pietro warned us that dinner was ready, instigating our normal routine of me and Aidan making for the dining room and Allejandro getting the other boys.

All during dinner, I got the impression that John looked a lot happier than he’d looked when he got home from school. He wasn’t the absolute focus of attention any more and he definitely seemed to like it that way. As soon as dinner was over, the boys all left to do their homework, leaving just me and Aidan having a cup of coffee.

“How did Jordan’s first day at school go?” Aidan then suddenly asked me.

I told him I had no idea, since I hadn’t had an opportunity to talk to him yet. It was clear though that Aidan was curious, and I couldn’t help but wonder if there was more to it than just their shared past.

“Can I ask you something?” I then asked.

“Sure,” he replied.

“Do you have feelings for him beyond just friendship?” I questioned.

Almost immediately I could see Aidan’s face turning red and I knew there was more to it. I assured him that I would fully understand, seeing as how I felt about Allejandro, but Aidan just started shaking his head.

“I knew you’d understand, but that’s not really the problem. I’ve loved Jordan ever since I first set eyes on him. I just don’t think the feelings are mutual,” he murmured.

“Have you ever asked him?” I quizzed.

“Of course not. I was twice his age, living in a tiny apartment, what would I have to offer him?” Aidan countered.

“Only the most valuable thing anyone could ever give to another person: love,” I simply declared.

“That’s easy for you to say. Now please, stop messing with my mind,” Aidan exasperated.

I couldn’t help but smile at his obvious frustration, having been in a similar situation myself on a number of occasions in the past. We finished our coffee and Aidan had his slice of cake, which he happily devoured. Before leaving for his guesthouse though, he made me promise not to bring up our conversation with Jordan and I relented. As usual, I retreated to the living room and waited for the boys to finish their homework. Following our routine, when they were all done, I went down to the media room and we all watched a movie. It was only me and Allejandro afterwards, having a glass of wine in the living room. He told me he was glad that at least his mother would be spared a court hearing as he thought what had happened was mostly his father’s fault. When I asked him if he was still sure about the two of us getting married, he gave me a dark look and wanted to know if I was having second thoughts. After I assured him that wasn’t the case, we rapidly finished our wine, cleaned up and made for bed.

I must admit that waking up on Thursday morning was in no way easy. Allejandro and I had made love for almost an hour before finally drifting off to sleep and it was now taking its toll on us. When we made it down for breakfast, all the boys were already there and a good number of them were stifling smiles. Remarking they all had dirty minds only served to bring about a roar of laughter, that proved rather infectious. Both Allejandro and I couldn’t do much more than just shake our heads and get started on our breakfast.

After most of the gang had left for school, it was just me, Russel and John, whose lessons didn’t start until 11:10. I had expected the boys to go down to the game room, but instead they both approached me in the living room. Russel wanted to do some more lessons and had apparently managed to enlist John’s help. As a result, we spent the next two hours in the study, until it was time for John to get ready for school. We’d gotten through two lessons and John’s background probably helped Russel more with his pronunciation than it did me.

As soon as John had left, Russel came to sit next to me in the living room and we started practicing random sentences. His eagerness to learn was really amazing and I truly hoped his status could be settled and he could go to school as soon as possible. It was actually quite fun to note how Russel was interested in sentences that carried a definite sexual undertone. When I started explaining to him how many synonyms there were for the male sex organ, he was definitely soaking it up. We were still at it, when the twins, Roque and Jordan returned home from school at 12:15.

Lunch was rather hilarious as Russel was practicing with his new found vocabulary, causing some of the other boys to break down with laughter. As soon as lunch was over, all but Juanito retreated down to the game room. A few minutes later I was in the twins’ bedroom with Juanito and not surprisingly, he immediately got naked. Once on the bed, he asked me to fuck him with my ‘hot rod’ and instantly started grinning. That didn’t last long, though, as I rapidly had him moaning, pounding his little insolent ass. For some reason we were both rather horny and it didn’t take overly long for us to climax. As always, we cleaned up in the bathroom and then went back downstairs.

I had only just gotten back into the living room after getting a cup of tea from the kitchen, when Jordan came up and walked in. He asked if he could have a talk with me and, sensing the need for privacy, I agreed to talk with him in the study. I got comfortable on the little couch and Jordan sat down next to me.

“Felipe and Juanito told me to talk to you if something was bothering me and that you would listen,” he began, rather hesitantly.

“I think that’s part of my job. So yes, I will always listen and if possible, offer a solution,” I said, trying to get Jordan to relax.

“Well, it’s like, you know, I was wondering about sex. Is it true that you only fuck Allejandro and nobody fucks you?” he asked haltingly.

“Yes, that’s true, but I think you need to know the story behind it. When I was about your age, I knew I liked boys and not girls. So I started having sex with other boys and men and finding out what I liked and didn’t like. During that time I got fucked more than a few times, and found out that I just didn’t really like it. So at some point I decided I just didn’t want to be fucked anymore. So for me, it was a very personal decision based on my experiences. But everybody is different, this is just how I turned out. Do you understand?” I replied.

“So, it’s ok that I like to fuck and be fucked?” he questioned.

“Of course it is. I think that’s actually the case for most gay boys and men. Only a few are total bottoms, like John, or total tops, like me. Even Allejandro likes to fuck sometimes, just not with me,” I smiled.

“So, it’s not like all guys who are older only like to fuck and not be fucked?” Jordan then came back.

“No, I’m pretty sure I’m a bit of an exception to the rule,” I laughed, “But why do you ask?”

“Well, uhm, I think I like Aidan a lot. He never tried anything, though, so I don’t think he’s interested. I like having sex with Felipe and Juanito, but it’s just sex. I think I would like to have a real boyfriend, but he has to be older than me. Someone like Aidan,” Jordan said.

Right then and there I knew I was somehow stuck between a rock and a hard place. I asked him if he’d ever talked to Aidan about it, pretending I didn’t know he hadn’t, which he then confirmed. Jordan then dropped the bombshell and asked if I might be willing to talk to Aidan to find out about his feelings. Of course, I could have told him immediately, but then he’d know that Aidan had already discussed it with me, which Aidan didn’t want him to know. So, instead I told him I’d try and talk to Aidan and I saw how his whole face immediately lit up. He thanked me rather profusely, even giving me a hug, then went out to rejoin the rest of the crew down in the game room.

I got myself a cup of tea and settled down in the living room, contemplating how to handle the situation with Aidan and Jordan. It was just a little before 3 o’clock when Allejandro walked in and, of course, he immediately sensed I had something on my mind. I told him to go and change out of his school uniform and I’d talk to him about it afterwards. He was back down within minutes, obviously curious to know what caused me to be out of sorts. I had just told him about the conversation I’d had with Aidan the previous evening, when Carlos and Damarion came walking in. We both got our hugs and kisses, but, like Allejandro, Carlos knew something wasn’t quite normal. He didn’t say a thing, but I could see him looking back a few times as he made for the stairs.

I then had the opportunity to tell Allejandro about my talk with Jordan earlier and I could see his eyes starting to sparkle. He asked me what I was going to do and I told him I was thinking about simply telling Aidan after dinner about what Jordan had said to me.

“Do you think the two of them will get together?” Allejandro asked me.
