Lucky Mr. Peters
Chapter 78
We had just gotten started on our second glass of wine when Aidan walked in.
“So, he’s in second grade with the older boys,” he immediately said.
“And how would you know that?” I asked.
“What? Oh, Jordan texted me, of course,” Aidan laughed, sitting down on the couch with us after retrieving a glass for himself from the kitchen.
I gave him a short rundown of the morning’s happenings which he seemed to find quite funny. Then he turned serious, telling me that he’d heard about which judge would be in charge of the adoption hearing on the 11th. He quickly reassured me, though, saying that Judge Ramirez was a fair, middle-aged woman, who actually had a sense of humor. He’d dealt with her before on a few occasions and was fairly sure that we had nothing to worry about. She’d probably talk with Carlos and Damarion before the actual hearing began and then the hearing itself would be mostly a formality.
By the time we had finished discussing a few more things, it was time for dinner and I was surprised to see Paolo, Bernardo and the twins coming up from the game room with the others. I definitely hadn’t seen them come down and realized I had to have missed it.
When dinner was over, Rafael and Hugo suggested that Bernardo come up to their room to see what they had for homework and check out their school books to see what he had instore, tomorrow with them, so they could talk him through any worries he had. I thought it would be a good idea and obviously Bernardo did too as he did follow them up to their room. Aidan and Jordan made for their home as well, giving me some time to relax. In the evening we all watched a movie and afterwards Russel took John’s usual place, sleeping with me and Allejandro.
On Tuesday morning, after the last of the boys had already left for school, I got an unexpected phone call from Mr. Calvaroz. He informed me that everything pertaining to Russel and immigration had been completely cleared. He’d send me all the documentation and then what was left to do was to have passport photos taken and to apply for his passport at city hall. Russel would have to be there in person, so his fingerprints could be taken and the fees would have to be paid. It would then take about two weeks before the passport could be picked up, or it could be sent to the house by registered mail, but that would cost extra. Relieved it was all taken care of, I thanked Mr. Calvaroz for his efforts and to send me the bill. He told me he would and then we ended the call.
I went into the kitchen to get some more coffee and found Pietro working on a birthday cake. I asked him if Julio had told him his favorite flavor and he shook his head.
“I haven’t had the opportunity, but I still have to find a boy who doesn’t like vanilla and chocolate,” he laughed. “Oh, could you stay for moment until I finish this, I need to talk to you,” he continued.
I sat down at the kitchen counter with my drink and waited for him to finish some decorating on the cake. When he was done, he put the cake into the fridge and sat down with me.
“I wanted to let you know that Mauricio and I have been invited by my parents for dinner on Easter Sunday. We’ll be here for breakfast and lunch, and we could prepare something for you all for dinner, but won’t be here for that. We hope that’s not an inconvenience,” he announced.
“Nonsense! With all the work the two of you do here, you’re more than entitled to some time off. Besides, I know that Easter is an important thing here and I’m sure that the boys won’t mind pizza for dinner. But thanks, I’m happy for the heads up and I hope that you and Mauricio have fun,” I said, giving him a pat on the back.
“One more thing, when do you think the cake should be served, tomorrow?” he questioned.
“Well, all the boys, including the birthday boy himself, should be home by 3 o’clock. I guess soon after that should be okay,” I replied and he concurred.
I took my coffee and went back to the living room, letting Pietro get on with whatever was next on his to-do list. As for me, I finished my cup and then went into the study to check on my e-mails and get some administration done. Sure, I was rich, but there were still bills to be paid. I’d also realized that, if the boys were all coming to court with us on the 11th, we’d need another big car to get them all over there. I checked online with the car rental where we’d gotten the SUV from when we went karting and made a reservation. I was pretty sure that Mauricio would be able to pick the car up on Friday morning and bring it back some time in the afternoon. It would give us a total of 20 seats for 18 of us as I was fairly certain that Jordan, Pietro and Mauricio would join us too.
I then did some calculations and concluded that buying another SUV outright made little sense, not yet anyway. It might be different once the summer holidays started, but that was still close to 3 months away. For the time being, we could get away with renting one when necessary.
I was about to wrap things up when Allejandro and John barged in, saying that they thought they’d find me there. I got my hugs and kisses before they left to go upstairs and change out of their school uniforms. After coming back down, we had lunch with Pietro and Mauricio, and I began to really understand some of the jokes that were being told in Spanish.
Of course, as soon as lunch was over, John demanded his payback for not being with us the night before. Of course, it was fun and the three of us spent close to an hour in our bedroom before we got back down. I’d already told them about Mr. Calvaroz’s phone call over lunch, so we just chatted. They told me it had been really funny to see Bernardo almost getting squeezed to death by his mother during the coffee break that morning. Some of the other students had noticed it too and had begun asking questions, but my boys had kept them in the dark about the mother-and-son relationship. Snickering, John said that just one stare from Mrs. Cantor had been enough for most of the other students to back off.
“Did you notice how she even got that nosey George to stop?” Allejandro said, clearly addressing John.
“Yes, just because he thinks he can get away with anything because his parents are super rich, doesn’t mean he can,” John laughed.
“Is this boy giving you guys problems?” I asked, getting slightly concerned.
“Don’t worry, Rudee, we’ve given grown-up paparazzi the run-around. I’m sure we can handle a nosey brat like George,” Allejandro chuckled.
Thinking back at how the boys had handled things, protecting Hugo from getting bothered after his parents’ death, I had to snicker also. Of course, in class, Bernardo would be able to count on the help of Paolo, Hugo, Rafael and Fernando, so I wasn’t too troubled about that. And of course, with a boy like Jordan around, too, it was easy to assume that not many boys would want to pick a fight with any of my boys.
We talked until Carlos and Damarion got home, at which time John decided to join them down in the game room. Allejandro and I got ourselves another cup of tea and waited for the big horde to return. When they did, it was more like a stampede than anything else. One by one they gave me my hugs and kisses, even Bernardo, before charging up the stairs to get changed. At least they were all chattering and laughing, which I thought was definitely a good sign.
I have to say that I was a bit surprised to see Rafael, Fernando, Hugo and Roque coming down wearing their tennis outfits. They told us they were going to play some tennis and went out the sliding doors onto the patio. As they walked towards the court out back, I saw that Jordan had also changed and was joining them. The other six boys disappeared down to the game room and I asked Allejandro to remind me to ask during dinner if any of the other boys might be interested in playing tennis. With Paolo and Bernardo both in the same grade as three of the players, I thought that they might want to be involved.
Since it was getting close to 4 o’clock and we’d finished our tea, Allejandro suggested we get started on our usual wine. I agreed and when he got back, I discussed with him the ideas for Julio’s birthday tomorrow. He agreed that we should get the actual party started after everyone got home around 3. He admitted that most of the boys had used part of their lunch breaks over the past week or so to secretly buy their presents at a store near school. Of course, they were mostly games that Julio had mentioned he knew and liked and weren’t in the ever expanding games collection yet.
“If we’re not careful, we might end up with every single game ever made for those systems down there,” he laughed.
“As long as it makes them happy and keeps them quietly occupied, I don’t care,” I replied.
“Well, I think Rafael and Hugo actually bought him a season of a TV-series that he likes. Maybe so they could binge watch it during the Easter holidays,” Allejandro said.
That, of course, brought up a whole new topic, figuring out what we could do to keep the boys busy during that whole week. A lot of attractions that had previously been closed would be opening their doors this month. Allejandro was surprisingly noncommittal, though, and rather evasive when I questioned him about it. I was being kept out of the loop of something and I was betting with myself it had something to do with my birthday.
Aidan arrived at the sliding doors just in time to see the boys coming back from the tennis court. I saw him halting outside and waiting for Jordan to make the last few yards at a trot. They hugged and kissed, before Jordan made for the guest house and I assumed he was going to change out of his tennis attire. In the meantime, Allejandro had gotten a wineglass from the kitchen, so when Aidan did come in, followed by the other four boys, it was already waiting for him.
The boys, as expected, continued on to the stairs to also change into their regular clothes as Aidan joined Allejandro and me on the couch. He poured himself some wine, before sitting back with a rather loud sigh.
“Hard day at work?” I asked, curious about his unusual behavior.
“Don’t get me started,” Aidan replied dryly.
“In that case, I won’t,” I snickered.
Of course, that got Aidan started on some weird court case he’d handled that day and how his client had almost driven him insane. As we were talking, Jordan walked in, greeted us and went straight on down to the game room, closely followed by the four boys that had changed in their rooms. Aidan kept on complaining about how his female client had tried to tell him how to do his job and we really got a few good laughs out of it. In turn I told him about the phone call I’d gotten from his colleague that morning.
We hadn’t kept track of time, so were slightly taken by surprise when Mauricio announced that dinner was ready. As we were eating, Allejandro nudged me and reminded me about the tennis question that I’d wanted to bring up. As I’d more or less expected, both Paolo and Bernardo showed an interest and after a pleading look from me, Aidan promised he’d take them shopping on Saturday.
Immediately after dinner, Aidan and Jordan left for their own home, while my boys all went upstairs to get their homework done. It gave me some peace and quiet and I liked watching them trickle down to the game room over the next 45 minutes. When finally the last few, including Allejandro had finally come back down, I decided to join them. I wanted to see a movie that I hadn’t seen in a long time and it was one I thought the boys might definitely enjoy. It took me a few minutes to locate the DVD of ‘The Emerald Forest’, by that time the herd had joined me in the media room.
With two strategic intermissions, the movie finished at 10:30, just as it was bedtime for the boys. I admit that I smiled a few times during the breaks, seeing one or another boy adjust his package as he went out to pee or get some food or drinks. A few of them definitely wouldn’t go to sleep straight away, but then, they wouldn’t have, even if I hadn’t shown them the movie. Me, Allejandro and John enjoyed our night cap, but then also called it quits and made for bed.
As had become a bit of a tradition, the boys all sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to Julio as he came into the dining room on Wednesday morning. Where John had been embarrassed and Carlos had enjoyed the attention, Julio started crying, ran up to me and jumped into my arms, trying to hide his face from the other boys by burying it in my shoulder. It took a few minutes before he had calmed down and had regained some control. The flock wasn’t waiting on it, though, and had started to attack their breakfast as usual. I guess my remark to Julio that he’d better let go and get something to eat before there was nothing left, had the desired effect. I used a napkin to wipe away his tears and let him blow his nose before he took his seat at the table.
“When am I going to get my present from you, papi?” Julio asked, being pushed by the boys next to him as he’d obviously recovered from his initial shock.
“I didn’t know you wanted a present,” I replied, teasingly.
A small uproar started, with those boys that had been with me for some time, all laughing their asses off. They were quick to explain to Julio that he’d get his presents after coming home from school and I could see the relief on his face.
With the exception of Julio, the twins and Roque, the boys all went off to get changed into their school uniforms. The remaining foursome’s classes wouldn’t start until 9:20 and they decided to go down to the game room for some fun until it was their time to get ready.
Once all the boys had gone off to school, I went into the kitchen and told Pietro that Julio’s present could be brought up to his room.
“Don’t you want to know where we hid it?” Pietro asked.
“No, because that would be the first place I’d look on the 16th,” I replied.
“Well, you’d be looking in the wrong place, Rudee,” Pietro snickered.
“I knew it! You and Mauricio are in on it, aren’t you?” I commented.
“I’m sorry, boss. We’re sworn to secrecy on pain of torture whenever we want to take a dip in the pool,” Pietro laughed.
“Just so you know, I’ve already come up with the perfect solution. I’ll leave on Wednesday afternoon, check into a hotel and won’t be back until Friday after breakfast,” I retorted.
“Oh, Rudee, you don’t know your boys. They’ll be watching you and if you try anything like that, you’ll find that they’ve already come up with a whole new use for the restraints you had a few of them buy,” Pietro then bellowed, tears starting to stream down his cheeks.
“They wouldn’t!” I stammered.
“Oh, yes they would,” I could hear Mauricio’s voice coming from behind me. “But don’t worry, it’s not going to hurt,” he added with a snicker.
I shook my head, poured myself a cup of coffee and returned to the living room, trying to come up with a new strategy. I didn’t really mind birthdays, except my own. It was kinda fun until I turned 20. After reaching that point, it was just a reminder that I wasn’t getting any younger.
I really didn’t want to think about it, so I picked up the book I’d been reading and went into read-mode. It was my go-to thing as I’d forget anything and everything around me and let myself be immersed by the story I was reading. It worked like a charm until I got assaulted by two small, young boys getting home from school.
I managed to put down my book in between getting my hugs and kisses and then seeing the two rascals run upstairs to get changed. It only took a couple of minutes for them to come back down, both of them wearing just a speedo and some other accoutrements. I was happy that Pietro knew the drill and called us for lunch as soon as the boys bore down on me.
As soon as lunch was over, there was no stopping the two boys. I’d noticed them both eating with just one hand, the other one hidden underneath the table, either playing with themselves or each other. As soon as they got up, though, the effect was rather visible in their tight little speedos.
“Are you having fun with your present?”
“Yes, we love the machine, papi, but it can’t spank us,” Carlos commented softly.
“Can’t you spank each other?”
“Yes Papi, but it’s just not the same as when you do it to us! It feels better then. Will you please come and help make us feel better now?”
Like a lamb to the slaughter, I let myself be dragged up the stairs by two very horny little boys that were soon to be my sons. The smile on Carlos’ face as he parked himself naked across my lap was more than priceless. He and his little wiener jumped when the first slap landed on his cute little bottom and his joyful yelp could easily be heard. I caressed the red handprint on his left butt cheek before landing another on his right one while Damarion was equipping the machine with quite a hefty dildo. It really took only five slaps for Carlos to start flopping about as a powerful orgasm coursed through his small body. We kissed once the tyke had regained his composure and then it was Damarion’s turn.
We were back downstairs just in time for John to get home at a little past 2 o’clock. Being English, he was allowed to skip the regular English class on Wednesday that Allejandro and Jordan still had to take. After changing out of his school uniform, he joined the two young ones down in the game room.
I got myself a cup of tea and saw how Pietro was finishing up the cake that was meant for Julio. I asked him if he made sure that Julio’s present was up in his room and he assured me it was, giving me one of his big smiles. It reminded me of the first time we met and how much he liked swimming completely naked.
I had barely finished my tea when the majority of my herd made it home and I got showered with sloppy kisses. I can’t say I was surprised to see Julio and Paolo run up the stairs as soon as they had their turn. Even two flights down I could hear their cheers at discovering the present in Julio’s room. Now, I don’t know how they did it, but they were changed, back down and smothering me again within just a few minutes.
“You really are the best papi we could have ever wished for,” I heard Julio sniffle.
“I love you boys too,” I managed to croak in return.
That’s when Allejandro intervened, telling the two happy boys that I was his fiancé and that they shouldn’t smother me. Julio and Paolo laughed and then had the nerves to tell Allejandro that he shouldn’t be so jealous before walking off. I couldn’t help but laugh as I saw the look on Allejandro’s face.
A few minutes later, Pietro came out of the kitchen with the cake in his hands, closely followed by Mauricio carrying a stack of plates. Allejandro and I joined the parade and we made our way down to the game room to get the impromptu party started. We all sang ‘Happy Birthday’ again before Julio made the first cut in his cake and then let Pietro take over. It didn’t take long for the boys to devour the whole thing and then came presents time. I don’t think I ever saw a bigger smile than on Julio’s face as he got his presents from the other boys.
Allejandro and I followed Pietro and Mauricio as we headed back upstairs, leaving the boys to their own accords.
“I’m not jealous, am I?” Allejandro asked as we sat ourselves down on the couch.
“No, I don’t think so, but even if you were, it only goes to show how much you love me,” I laughed.
“It’s only 55 more days, Rudee, I’m keeping count,” Allejandro smiled.
At that moment, I didn’t know what to say, so I just kissed him.
“Now, tell me, where are we going for our honeymoon?” I asked.
“I want to see the house where you were born,” Allejandro replied softly.
“Really? You want me to take you to Amsterdam instead of an island with just the two of us, white, sandy beaches and palm trees?” I questioned.
“Yes, you can show me all the museums and all the houses where you lived. Maybe even the schools that you went to,” Allejandro whispered.
I don’t know how he got that idea in his head, but I knew I couldn’t say ‘no’ to it. Just him mentioning it made me go back in time, remembering the apartment I was born in, no bathroom, so I bathed in a tin tub once a week. Moving to a new neighborhood when I was about 10, an apartment that actually did have a shower. The holidays I took with my parents every year, Italy at first, then a detour to Ibiza because an aunt and uncle share the cost of the rental. Then Poland because it was so damn cheap. I can still remember us getting stopped at the border to East Germany and being forced to completely clear out the VW minivan we were driving. One time, my dad pulled over because my mom had to pee and the VoPo’s were right there to tell us we weren’t allowed to do that.
We made friends in Poland, there was this group every year from an orphanage that came to the same campgrounds as we did. That’s how I met Andrzej. I was 15, he was 16 and we got along pretty well. When the group went back, I was invited to come with them and I did. The powers that be decided I should share a bed with Andrzej. Well, we didn’t get a lot of sleep the first night, nor the second. It was the first time for me and I loved it.
The year after that Poland changed the rules and my parents decided that France was cheaper. It was the last time I went on vacation with them, France just wasn’t my thing and I simply stayed home afterwards. It was better as I’d discovered how much I liked other boys and there were plenty in my neighborhood. I invited them over and we played poker and board games. There were boys that nobody would remember and boys that went on to be famous, like young Dennis Bergkamp. He had 3 older brothers that were cute too.
It was weird how one single sentence uttered by Allejandro could bring back so many memories.
